Machine Learning Engineer

We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our R&D&I team. The selected candidate will work on innovative projects and contribute directly to the development of technologies that impact different industries, actively participating in national and European research projects.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize experiments to identify complex relationships between variables and discover temporal patterns in data
• Develop rapid prototypes that allow hypothesis validation and guide development towards the most promising approaches
• Implement ML/DL algorithms using open source frameworks, optimizing their performance for specific applications
• Process and analyze signals from real-time data acquisition systems
• Build processing pipelines that integrate multiple modalities (vision, control signals, IoT data)
• Design iterative experiments to explore different algorithmic approaches in an agile manner

Essential Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, artificial intelligence or signal processing
• Strong proficiency in open source ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras, XGBoost, LightGBM
• Experience in digital signal processing and time series analysis
• Ability to conceptualize experiments that reveal relationships between variables and complex temporal patterns
• Skills to develop rapid prototypes that allow validation of different algorithmic approaches
• Advanced experience in Python: NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, OpenCV and signal processing tools

Valued

• Knowledge of specialized libraries: Hugging Face Transformers, OpenAI Gym
• Familiarity with prototyping tools: Jupyter, MLflow, Weights & Biases, DVC
• Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics (Master's in AI/ML will be valued)
• Knowledge in algorithm optimization and systematic experimentation
